International Studies Area of Support

  • Complete 3 credit hours numbered 2000 level or above and 6 credit hours numbered 3000 level or above.
  • Courses used to fulfill requirements in this section must be courses from a College of Arts and Science department that have an international focus.
  • Business courses cannot be used to fulfill requirements in this section.
  • In general, select courses from the International Studies Course List. This list is not comprehensive, but it includes examples of the types of courses that could count.
  • There is no overlapping or “double-dipping” allowed with Business courses. For example, you cannot count Econ 3229 towards International Studies Area of Support if you are counting it towards your Business major.
  • Keep in mind that many students save at least some of these 9 credits until they study abroad.
